What is CBRS Technology?

CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) is a radio-frequency spectrum band ranges from 3.5 GHz to 3.7 GHz, which has specified by FCC (Federal Communications Commission). FCC has given authority to use of the CBRS band for wireless service provider commercialization without the limitations to avoid interference with military-use of the spectrum.

This telecom technology is a great opportunity for the WISPs because this technology will reduce the data transmission cost dramatically. It will empower ISP businesses to deploy 5G faster and easier.

How CBRS works?

It is a TDD band (stands for Time Division Duplex). It only allows LTE to be worked. The radio interface imitates the one that's utilized when Long Term Evolution is installed at other frequencies. LTE band 42 & 43 will be spanned by the frequency allocation of CBRS.
