This is an outdoor platform enclosed in a waterproof IP66 housing. The device can operate as an AP/CPE/Point-to-Point in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, in the Wi-Fi 6 standard.
This NetMetal ax is a powerful outdoor long-range access point that thrives in any environment. Designed for exceptional durability, it can be easily installed almost anywhere - the case can be opened and closed with one hand. The IP66 rating protects the device from dust and powerful water jets - in damp attics and elevator shafts, on bustling docks or seaside tower structures. No terrain is too difficult for NetMetal Ax - the Mars networked rover!
NetMetal ax has a modern dual-core ARM processor, a Gigabit Ethernet PoE-in port and a 2.5 Gigabit SFP slot for fiber-optic connectivity, as well as a USB port and a free miniPCIe slot that allows for further personalization. For example, you can add an LTE modem for mobile Internet backup - a NanoSIM slot has been added. Additionally, there are other additional options such as adding a gateway to a LoRa IoT setup such as the R11e-LR8 . The device comes with a RouterOS Level 4 license.
The powerful dual-band, dual-chain Wi-Fi 6 radio offers improved speed, stability, security, roaming, power management and more compared to previous wireless protocols. NetMetal ax is equipped with two RP-SMA connectors enabling the addition of a selected antenna at a distance of up to 30 km. If necessary, the NetMetal ax can be adapted for use in the lower range with antennas such as the external omnidirectional antenna HGO-antenna-OUT . The antenna provides a gain of 3.3 dBi for the 2.4 GHz band and a gain of 5.5-7.1 dBi for the 5 GHz band. (shown in the photo, available separately). Please note that while longer links are feasible, their reliability may vary. Additionally, the achievable distance depends largely on the antenna selected.
The housing has an IP66 protection rating. Provides protection for your device against splashes from any angle. The housing can be opened and closed with one hand.
MikroTik NetMetal ax can handle massive workloads as it has an upgraded 800MHz IPQ-5010 2-core processor and 256MB DDR3L RAM. It has a miniPCIe slot for LTE or other wireless modules and an SFP slot for optical fiber.
