Description

Position Overview

The Counter & Inside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site sales position responsible for delivering responsive, knowledgeable service to
walk-in customers while supporting customers through phone, email, and other inside sales channels. The role identifies customer needs,
recommends appropriate products and solutions, prepares quotes, processes orders, resolves routine service needs, and follows up to support
customer satisfaction and sales growth. This position is designed for an early-career candidate who is eager to learn the wireless
communications industry, develop expertise in wireless technology and WAV's product lines, and build a career in sales. WAV provides training
on products, systems, and internal processes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers promptly, providing courteous, professional on-site sales support and product or service information
  • Answer and manage inbound calls professionally, handle inquiries when appropriate, and direct callers to the correct department as needed
  • Listen to and understand customer needs, identify appropriate products and services, and recommend related products and accessories
  • Prepare quotes and process in-person and phone orders promptly and accurately, including applicable payments, pickup, or delivery arrangements
  • Respond to customer emails and messages promptly, courteously, and respectfully
  • Address customer inquiries and service issues, identify solutions, and escalate concerns as needed
  • Support WAV house accounts and provide responsive service to internal customers
  • Maintain accurate customer, quote, order, and activity information in the CRM and ERP systems, including setting up complex orders
  • Maintain a proficient understanding of internal systems and processes and participate in system enhancement testing efforts
  • Contact manufacturers directly to obtain DDO/PE pricing updates as needed
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the product lines distributed by WAV
  • Participate in Company and supplier training to build knowledge of the wireless communications industry, wireless technology, WAV product lines, sales processes, and customer service standards
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Solutions, Operations, Warehouse, manufacturers, and other internal partners to fulfill customer needs
  • Adhere to and promote the WAV Fundamentals
  • Work toward established individual and team sales and service goals
Non-essential Job Functions
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and customer-ready counter area
  • Perform other duties as directed by management

Qualifications

Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. One to three years of customer service, retail, sales, warehouse counter, technology-related, or other relevant experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong desire to learn the wireless communications industry, wireless technology, and technical product sales.

Language Ability

Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to adapt to challenging situations as well as have the ability to balance, execute and prioritize both routine and analytical tasks. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Willingness, capability, and determination to solve problems and participate in team problem-solving and negotiations.

Computer Skills

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn CRM, ERP, point-of-sale, and product lookup systems. Experience with NetSuite or a CRM system is helpful but not required.

Work Environment

Work environment consists of an indoor, climate-controlled atmosphere. Noise level in the office is quiet to moderate. Noise level in the warehouse is moderate and occasionally loud.

Pay Range

$43,000-$47,000 plus commission
