Product Information

The Alpha Wireless AW3159 designed for the 3300 – 3800 MHz range, stands as a high-performance 2-port, 65° single band sector panel featuring electrical variable tilt. Its advanced phase-shifter technology effectively suppresses all upper side lobes above the main beam for various tilts and frequencies, ensuring interference-free LTE networks. Boasting over 20 dB of upper-side lobe suppression and a 30 dB front-to-back ratio, this antenna enhances cell edge performance and promotes exceptional spectral efficiency. The AW3159 antenna offers consistent beamwidth and null filling below the main beam, guaranteeing uniform coverage both near and far from the access point. Featuring ±45° slant polarization and 2×2 MIMO support, this panel antenna achieves an impressive 18 dBi gain while optimizing patterns for 3.5GHz CBRS and C-band deployments.

The AW3159 is equipped with mechanical electrical tilt (MET) capability, facilitating convenient electrical tilt adjustments via a tilt screw located on the connector plate. This mechanical electrical tilt feature empowers network optimization without necessitating adjustments to the mounting brackets. Precise downtilt adjustments are made to enhance throughput and coverage, strategically directing the signal where needed. The electrical downtilt maintains azimuth pattern control while distributing tilt uniformly across the azimuth plane. This meticulous pattern control prevents signal interference among neighboring cells, enables efficient frequency reuse between cells, and reduces the requisite number of cells to effectively cover an area.
