AFL Connectivity Accessories


The Connectivity Accessories by AFL include mechanical splices, optical terminators and adapters, fanouts, and attenuators. AFL’s mechanical splice with a tool has a quick splicing time and 250 μm and/or 900 μm fiber capabilities. It secures both fiber and coating independently with the U-shaped sleeve, enhancing the strength against fiber twist. The buildout attenuator with SC, FC, ST, and LC connector styles and low ripple provides superior performance. The fanout kits with VFL-compatible removable covers accept 2.0 – 3.8mm input cables and protect sensitive 250 μm fibers, while the loose tube fanout kits come in 6 and 12-fiber configurations. Plus, the optical adapter with SC, FC, ST, MTP, and other major connector interfaces is used to mate two fiber optic connectors, while the field installable optical terminator is available in S, FC, ST, and LC connector types.
